ATV Rider Course

 
Canada Safety Council Accredited

The All Terrain Vehicle Rider Course is a one-day program designed to train the operator in the safe and efficient use of an all terrain vehicle. The course includes both classroom and practical training, with the greatest emphasis on operational skills. The ATV Rider student and instructor courses are nationally recognized programs developed by the Canada Safety Council, for the benefit of both industrial and recreational ATV operators.


You will be registered with the Canada Safety Council and receive your certificate and registration number. This course provides general safety practices, so, not only will you enjoy the day, but you will build confidence in your own riding ability and the ability to handle your machine.


Topics included operator responsibilities, safety equipment and inspection and maintenance. Completion of this course has become mandatory in many major companies for employees and sub-contracted personnel who use an ATV on the job site.

Program Length:  6.5 to 8 hours

Program Topics:

  • Learn the basic maintenance and useful tips for your ATV including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Learn to recognize hazards and reduce risks when riding

  • Provincial / Municipal road requirements along with Traffic Act Laws

  • Open discussion

  • Safe riding practices and strategies, pre-ride inspections, traversing, turns, loading and transporting, carrying heavy loads

  • The lessons include starting and stopping, quick turns, hill riding, emergency stopping and swerving, and riding over obstacles.

Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) Side by Side Course

The Side by Side Operators is a one-day program designed to train the operator in the safe and efficient use of an UTV vehicle. The course includes both classroom and practical training, with the greatest emphasis on operational skills. The Side by Side student courses are nationally recognized program developed by the Canada Safety Council, for the benefit of both industrial and recreational UTV operators.

 

You will be registered with the Canada Safety Council and receive your certificate and registration number. Topics included operator responsibilities, safety equipment, inspection and maintenance. So, not only will you enjoy the day, but you will build confidence in your own riding ability and the ability to handle your machine.

 

UTV and Side by Side course identifies the responsibilities of the operator as governed by the Occupational Health and Safety Code Traffic Safety Act, Off-Highway Vehicle Regulation. Completion of this course has become mandatory in many major companies for employees and sub-contracted personnel who use an Side by Side on the job site.

Snowmobile Operators Course

A snowmobile is designed to be a safe vehicle when used as intended. The key to safe operation is YOUR knowledge of the vehicle; recognizing and accepting it as a motorized vehicle; respecting its capabilities and its limitations; varying operating conditions; knowledge of local laws; and good judgement and courtesy. Recognizing your own capabilities and limitations is also a very important factor for the safe operation of a snowmobile.

The Snowmobile Operators Course is a 6.5 to 8 hour training program operated by CSC certified instructors. The curriculum, which is based on field-tested techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper snowmobile operation. The rider learns about controls, reading terrain, turning and climbing hills.


Learn the safety regulations and be familiar with the required safety features and protective equipment. Discover how to detect hazardous conditions, be prepared for unexpected occurrences an know what to do in emergency situations.

Program Length:  6.5 to 8 hours

Program Topics:

  • Learn the basic maintenance and useful tips for your snowmobile including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Learn to recognize hazards and reduce risks when riding. Snowmobiling and alcohol don't mix, don't drink and ride. Know before you go! Always check local ice conditions. When night riding, slow down! Expect the unexpected. Ride safe, stay on the trail. Respect private property. Know the risks, and be prepared. And make every trip a round trip
